Mk2 Milltek manifold fitting

3 posts in this topic

Rang my local exhaust fitter to put on a complete milltek system (manifold & exhaust) to my mk2 16v Golf and they agreed to do it this morning.

When they looked at it they did not want to take it on as either the inlet manifold, subframe or engine needed to be removed or moved to get the manifold to fit.

Anyone else done this and any tips on the best solution?

it's probably the sub frame that has to be dropped - I di this when putting my car back together only to find when it came to the exhaust that the engine subframe had to be dropped to fit the front pipe. I had to suspend the engine on the crane and drop the subframe again to fit it. don't know any other way around it
