Need some help with cross platform sourcing of MK3 interior parts

Recommended Posts

Bit of a long title but basically I'm looking info on some gaps I'm missing. Looking at getting my headliner done professionally in a black foam, never been a fan of the OEM grey. I've pencilled in to pickup @Fatman's black ABC trim, what I'm wanting to know is, are there other models that I can look at for grab handles and the interior light part? Just to tie it all in before I go down the DIY route with some plastic paint?

There are a couple of black interior lights on e-bay at the moment which apparently suit the Mk3 Golf, Jetta, Corrado, B3 and B4 Passat so that might be a possibility.

There is also a black grab handle for a Mk3 (from the Sates) so that would suggest that some versions came with a black headliner and grab handles.

I had my headcloth Retrimmed by Arek in Ballymena, made a reasonably good job of it but they are notoriously hard to do.

Black "dome switches" as the yanks like to call them are very rare but do come up for sale the odd time and are a nice mid to have. Do expect to pay £120-£150 as previously suggested!

Black handles are from a B3 Passat I believe and black sunvisors plus clips from mk3 cabriolet, the latter being not too hard to find. Expect to pay around £35 for a visor set and around the same for handles.
