We will be having a show and shine, Nothing serious, so dont expect Dubshed level of judging or categories, they will be extremely limited, the event is mainly about the racing but the show and shine is a great addition for those who do not wish to race but wish to attend in their vehicles. If its old school bring it, if its nu skool then its the carpark!!! (sorry) That said, if GTINI wish to put on a club stand then we would welcome you all as a club stand regardless of vehicle age (this applies to gtini only) , pre book only £5 per car and  driver, passengers £5 per person (pre book) £10 gate.

We would love to see you down to support your watercooled guys who will be ringing every last ounce out of their cars to try and take take top honours, itll be close racing im sure.

Cheers

Ben.

With any luck you will be able to get a look at Irelands first ever Pro Stock bug too, this is a very important part of uk aircooled drag racing history,The ex Karl Donovan "Bugeyed" car, as of last week and an 1800km round trip the car is now in Ireland, it wont be running the ten second passes that it did back in its hayday but with any luck john will have the car back together and putting in some passes with a much milder setup.

I can't wait for this, last year was such craic... Colm's beetle caused more than a few problems along the way up and down from Athlone put hopefully there all sorted for this year. It's going for a shake down in Mondello for it's second Octane track day this Friday. Then off for some proper Subaru tuning.

Can't wait to see the MK3 in action Gethin, ive seen it countless times now but never even seen/ heard it running.

Anyone know much about

13/ Tommy White. Beetle 2500cc/Subaru engine

I haven't seen any build thread or pictures of this machine, will be super cool to see two Subaru bugs down the 1/4 mile.

I don't do carshows as I'm normally not in the country during most of the summer and if I'm honest i couldn't be arsed washing my car let alone polishing it. But this event is awesome. If its a good day again like last year the craic is belter. There are campervans with deck chairs attached to the roof doing the quarter mile, alongside bikes and some serious cars with awesome BHP. It reminds me of driving in Germany when you hear the cars in the outside lane blipping past you. Awesome day. I'm blocking the calendar for this one.

We have a special treat for you all.

Barnaby is bringing the "Barn Stormer" to town for our event.

Nowhere in Ireland would you see this monster run, true 8 second potential, although he wont be making full power passes as the track wont support it, he will however be doing full rolling smoky ass burnouts and full power passes to the 8th. JUST FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Its costing him a small fortune in travelling and race fuel so make sure you show him full support on the day!!!!

One last phonecall today and i think we have everyone on board :-)

David Walsh from Co. Meath will be bringing his Vauxhall Viva to put in a few demo passes. This ex "Pro Rover" series car has been developed and converted to turbocharged rotary power, expect LOTS of tyre smoke, squirly passes and plenty of noise. :-)

He has allready laid down a 10 second pass at bishopscourt and will be out to do the same.
