Mk4 Golf Anniversary - Questions to owners

Recommended Posts

I have one here but can't remember what wheels it came with can you measure from side to side and I'll check mine for you

They appear to be 90mm at the narrow point and 96mm at the widest

Makes sense

I have read a few article that say they can twist

The bottom 1 is the 1 Vw supplied with anni wheels that's the 1 I got with my mk4 it opens to hold the key for the locking nut

Have you had to use it much to remove/refit the centre caps ?

How have you found it, does it twist or it it strong enough to cope ?

Due to points of contact and the type of manufacture (solid plastic vs hollow) the top will always be better design, the vw one if used in anger would probably 'round' off the corners I'm sure. Not heard any stories about them though

I use a rubber mallet. few taps on the cap and it comes off by hand. hand tightening is more than ample for putting them back on.

Im under the impression that these plastic tools will just round after a while?
