my engine bay always bugged me with the state of it and the fact it was still silver

so I took into removing the engine on boxing day with the intentions of having it ready for dubshed

I done all the prep work and left the factory holes ready for my uncle to weld up

I then smoothed all of and primed the bay

it finally saw paint about two weeks before dubshed

I had been working on getting the engine mechanically right and presentable

the head, turbo and pump was reconditioned

new timing belt, water pump, clutch, oil filter, inline fuel filter, all new copper seals for all metal pipes, cables etc

I then replaced a lot of parts with genuine vw parts

all coolant hoses

oil breather and adjoining pipes

scuttle tray, fixings, rubber seal

brake fluid bottle

dip stick and tunnel

pipe unions on head front and pass side

strut tops

gear box, master cylinder, rack all bead blasted

sub frame, oil feed pipe, steering pipes, coolant pipe, rocker cover, gear box bracket, etc all blasted and painted

wire tuck by Christopher darragh

battery relocated

inline coolant filler fitted

steering and windscreen washer bottle hid

air box replaced with cone filter

bonnet rams fitted
