  1. Vr6 owner crumlin

Looking to speak to the guy who had a black vr6 corrado and green gtd mk2 from crumlin. Would have been on here.
  2. SUVs ( Volvo / Chevy)

Hows it going Jim? Same boat myself and the Passat might have to go. Hard to get something to take 3 seats easily. The Vauxhall wont give you seven seats. They are actually pretty different than the Captivia. We have had a couple of Captivia in and they are very hit or miss reliability wise. Electrical probs. Parts only from Chevrolet and can be pricey. Although a bit of value in general if you take the risk. Had a few seven seat Santa Fe in and they don't seem to give any bother. Tourans with upgraded wheels and privacy glass look well and not so much of a school bus.
  3. Removing mk2 gti arches

Are you sure you want to know whats under them!
  4. Save them!

Both fuel pumps seized. Replaced and now getting fuel to the metering head. metering head now seized. Common theme happening here. Any good metering heads about? On a positive note I got a good look under it and it is very sound.
  5. 1985 Golf wont start

Did you get this sorted cormac. Have the same problem with the mk1. Fuel pump relay seems suspect.
  6. Save them!

Remove the plugs and sprayed in some wd40. left it for 48hrs and with a gentle turn the engine is now turning over, sounding ok and getting spark. No noise from the fuel pump. Bit more to be getting on with. Have to admit there was a lot of satisfaction washing it.
  7. Save them!

Past this wee car for the past 7 years and decided to call and ask if it could move to a new home. Tow wagon and and air, it is at the door. Engine siezed and in need of a wash. look forward to the sun!
  8. Save them!

It is always worth a call if you can save it!
  9. mk5 r32 owners

Get 29mpg out of my one. Used to have a mk5 gti and got 32mpg with similar driving. Had thought about getting an edition 30 after reading fuel economy reviews, but glad i went for the 32. Sounds amazing. Getting a good one is the problem.
  10. Rockvale graphics. Highly recommended. I had broke the original dealer plate on my 89 golf and with alot of effort Neil duplicated the plate with colour logo. New style plate just didnt suit the car, it now looks right. Thanks again.
  11. My White mk2 GTi-speedlines page 2.

Good to see you still have it. Wheels look well. You will be running out of ones to try soon.
  12. 1985 Golf GTI

Looking good cormac. Sure your glad to have it up and running again.
  13. As long as you have one power there is no issue. Think brown is live. Put memory yellow and ignition together and that's the two you need.
  14. Has insurance got cheaper?

Just check the policy details. I noticed on the comparison sites i was getting cheaper quotes but was not covered to drive other cars third party and a few other differences that could catch you out.
  15. Project Rallye (paint on page 5)

Looks good Jim. Lot of work put in. I am sure it is satisfying putting all the finishing touches on and seeing an end!
