  2. I suggested this 3/4 years ago.. there wouldn't be enough information to make it worthwhile.. I then sponsered for 2 years I think and had customer car write ups. To be honest your better to spend your time on detailing world because any information that would be talked about in a detailing section on this forum would be relayed information from detailing world.
  3. Paint Correction Specialists

If your nearby Ballymena.. give me a shout and I can show you previous work.. including a black Mk4 Golf. However, if you go elsewhere just make sure that they have a paint gauge to measure what was removed by the previous "buffing" before you purchased the car.
  4. a mossy mess - how to clean a cabriolet roof?

We used a Meguiars convertible cleaner on my dads A4 last year.. we thought the roof was pretty clean until we saw the dirt that came out.. Megs also have a aerosol protectant which unless your roof is in good nick will do nothing but repel water
  5. Got a rotary or dual action polisher?

Got it back, they had to slice it off.. cost.. £3
  6. Got a rotary or dual action polisher?

Luckily enough it was the crappy free one that Makita throw in.. had been using it to polish up some metal kickplates for my bros quad. Yeah it was the lock spindle.. I took the whole head assembly apart and its suprising simple..
  7. Just a heads up.. Don't leave a backing plate on a machine polisher after you use it.. I went to use my rotary today on a BMW, went to change the backing plate(which had been fitted for 2 weeks), tried to remove the fitted one but, when I tried to twist it off it nearly ripped my hand in pieces, tried vice grips etc but it wouldn't budge. I ended up using the heat gun to melt the plastic piece off the metal threads but it left a metal sleeve which was still pretty much welded on. Left it to an engineering firm to cut it off. Moral of the story, grease the threads or remove the backing plate after every use. It will save you £20 on a backing plate plus whatever it costs for the sleeve to be removed.
  8. New bodykit anyone

Used to be a yellow 1 in ballymena with that kit, when I was 17 it looked cool :s
  9. Headlights

If its only a scum a claybar and a quick polish with a rotary would remove it!

  11. Best wax

Having tried and tested many waxes over the years.. Meguiars- looks 10/10.. lasts about 2 weeks Dodo Juice - coloured wax - dont like it Dodo Juice - supernatural - easy to apply/remove.. has a top up spray.. lasts for months with the correct care.. beads are really tight.. sheets well Zymol Carbon - exact same as supernatural except cheaper. Victoria wax - not bad for £20.. doesnt bead the best and not easiest applied or removed. Works well on a silver car. Blackfire paste wax- again top looks and is full of glazes.. doesn't bead well or sheet water the best..lasts about 2 months Poorboys natty Blue - looks good, lots of glazes, not great beading or sheeting and doesnt last more than a month My advice.. Zymol Carbon or Supernatural

  13. 7 towers autos caught out

My brothers friend used to do this to vans at his garage, one time a fella brought his van down to be clocked, he removed the dial cluster and behind was a note saying "Oh no! Not again!" haha
  14. Ryan Dunn from jacka$$

I'm waiting to hear the true official story before any thoughts on it.. apparently it is a hoax for a new film, but I don't think even Jack@ss would be so desperate for publicity as to create a false death..
  15. Post good stuff you find on YouTube
