  2. Wiring diagram for mk4 heated seats from Rub Jonny's selection on google, hopefully it'll help you trace back to the problem. Rub Jonny's mk4 Heated seats wiring diagram As you say I'd check that it's not just a coincidence both seats have broken elements in them! Multimeter the plug below the seat, handier than wiring in or swopping seats about. After that I'd multimeter check the plugs at the dash switches.

  23. Wow! its scary how the rust takes hold, and you wouldn't even have known that much needed cut back! Looks a great wee car, good to see it getting put back to its former glory!
  24. Are they matt or satin? there are products out there to wax matt/satin cars, I'd have a search for them, would help keep the wheels cleaner for longer and only need a quick wipe to clean them. If you're getting water stains you could look at a water filter, they take out all the stuff that leave water marks. Also handy for cleaning the car as you don't have to wipe it down after a final rinse!
