  1. I'm in it every week. It's only 4 miles from me.
  2. Five Guys

Why would you bother when there's a Wagamama a few steps away. Few mates have been and said they wouldn't be back. Too pricey for fast food.
  3. Bad Experience@ Ramore Resturant

This is why I go to the Mermaid upstairs. Exceptional food and service is second to none. Never had a bad course and never had any issue with it. The downstairs is just a noisy mess.
  4. Haven't found one that works well yet. As John says, they're always siezed or sticky anyway.
  5. ABF coil earth strap?

It's at the back right corner of the head at the top. There's 2 or 3 earth points all bolted together with a 10mm nut. That being corroded will stop the car running. The spark and colour of the spark should be one of the first things you check. Do that first or it'll be pointless looking at anything else. If it's the worlds roughest MK3 it must be pretty bad.
  6. I've done about 20 - 30 install with heated seats. Get me the plugs and I'll remake the rest of the loom for you and I can offer the install as well if you want. PM me if you're interested and I can get you prices.
  7. Bands at Dubshed

Definitely not near the trade stands. It's hard enough trying to talk to people and shout over the general noise at shows without any more noise. A lot of our customers often like to be able to come in for advice about products and no-one likes to have to shout or try to listen to people as if it's in a nightclub. I'm sure other traders know exactly what I mean.
  8. Machine polishing

    There's a good kit for starters: http://www.blok51.com/product.php?id=409
  9. Corrado's ????? Where are they ?

If it needs a sill due to rust it needs a hell of a lot more. There's half a dozen places on a rado that'll rust through before the sill starts.
  10. Any VCDS whizz kids on the forum?

Seatbelt bong only takes a few seconds. It's a basic code change.
  11. Corrado's ????? Where are they ?

All the early ones were rotten scrap heaps because they weren't galvanised. Unless you find a good solid one from late 93 onwards you'll struggle with the usual rust problems around the front end, and rear hatch etc.
  12. That's perfectly acceptable as long as the judges are well aware of the difference and the merit on a car on standard suspension and wheels. I still think the word 'stance' has no place on the judging sheet. Even if it's changed to anything else would be an improvement. I know it's a minor thing but when I was judging at different shows I didn't think 10 was a big enough scale as some cars needed an extra small margin to be separated. It might be worth looking at a range of 0-20 marks for each category.
  13. 2 constructive criticisms coming up. I've said them for the last couple of years too. You have a 'Rat' class and no concours class? Why is that? No offense to the winners of that rat class but to me that's just very very wrong. Stance - why is this even glorified as meaning slammed as low as possible on wide rims? (like most people assume it is) Surely a mint MK1 golf with it's standard 'stance' on mint original wheels should outscore something which is dumped on cheap coilovers on rep rims, but it doesn't seem to be the case. In my opinion the word stance should be removed completely, and have it changed to something like suspension/handling which incorporates the running gear and any handling modifications and condition. To me stance just sounds unprofessional on a judging sheet.
  14. mk4 golf wiper problem

MK4s have 2 common wiper problems. 1. faulty wash wipe relay. 2. A siezed spindle in the wiper mechanism. both easily sorted.
