Looks really cool mate can't wait to see it in the flesh. Anyone know what sort of wheels are on the black golf in the background.
  3. Blown Turbo removal

The problem is that you can't get a socket over the nut because it is underneath turbo housing
  4. Hi guys well as some of you might have heard at the meet on Sunday from Gary at Chipped NI I blew my turbo in the V6 passat last Friday on my way to Modified Nationals (Peterborough) - the mk5 R32 in front of me had nothing to do with it  , ended up coming home on an AA truck best £100 I have ever spent on membership. The problem I now have is this...I have all the pipes off the turbo and everything stripped down. The 4 12mm bolts holding the turbo to the manifold - 3 of them I have got off but the 4th is in under the turbo and I can not get it off and the nut is now starting to ring. I just wanted to know if any of you guys can help me. You can't get a 12mm socket over the nut as the turbo casing will not allow this. I was trying to get it off with a spanner which has resulted in the nut starting to ring. Also there is a steel oil return pipe underneath the turbo I also need to know how to get this off. If anybody fancies a run to Newry I would be very grateful as the car is a sound off competition car and I have a competition this Sunday and I really need to get her back on the road asap. Hope some of you guys can help me.
