    Love it. I think I may have a 4 button leather very similar to the MK1 Campaign but from a Rocco if you are interested.
  5. detailing course?

    A lot of good material on youtube. Buy a kit, get an old panel or two and experiment.
  6. Drying a car?

    Chemical guys towels (who have a wide variety) or similar from other suppliers then finished off with a quick detailer is the job. Use gently and patiently but be careful of towels hardening over time. Same with microfibre, bin them when they are past their best. A spin up the road can also offload a lot of residual water leaving the drying process shorter and less chance of damage. Dump sponges, chamois and any form of "blade" dryers.

  10. Original Plus :-) Small update: A couple of key bits arrived today from VW Germany. Rear VAG repair arches and I picked these Audioscape units up too. Also, slight change in direction on interior. My Recaros are gone but I picked up the mint original set a couple of months back Just the fronts pictured (a little dusty) but I have rear bench and cards too and all nearly factory fresh looking. Very happy with them.
  11. and another small update for today... Picked up these recently...gives me more options on MK1 and MK2 Picked up a couple of wheels to give even more options. More on this a little later [] As with my MK1 Campaign project, getting ready to remove and clean up engine and engine bay. I'll continue to take pics as I go and will break down the process in stages eg electrics, fuel, brakes etc Will freshen up as many parts as needed, some more sand blasting and powdercoating I'm sure. May even do some zinc plating. SHould be fun. Just hope I don't have any extra parts after I reassemble everything LOL.
  12. Collected my 2 front OE wings today. New front liners also pictured below. A bit dusty but look good so far.
  13. Brief update for today. Really happy with the way these are turning out. Just like new items from factory...... remember how they looked before all this work?!? First 2 pics are MK1 but MK2 turned out as well.
  14. Forgot about these... engine mounts collection started...ball joints and tensioner... First up a Milltek manifold as new - this came up in a deal which I couldn't resist. Gives me options between this and the new Raceland unit. Also as new, a Mongoose exhaust system. Pending tone this may or may not be used. I'm told the sound is powerful but quite mild. And sure if it doesn't work I'll just leave the existing twin swept exhaust that's on the car at the moment. It is also virtually new and to be honest I prefer the look of the existing exhaust. We'll see what happens when we get that far.
  15. Some new shiney bits ...... Mixed bag here of parts for CV inner and outers and also steering rack. I haven't gone through them by part number yet so MK1 and MK2 variants below. Just want to show what you get in a typical kit in case anyone else is planning this work. If anyone wants parts numbers please let me know. Parts sourced from ECP. Picked up 2 sumps and gaskets, bung and washers and a selection of MK1 and MK2 kits...
