  1. Rear demister

Halfords do a repair kit for this sort of thing, sort of a solder/epoxy type effort; must be common, my octy did it too!
  2. ABF coil earth strap?

My cousin has bought the worlds roughest mk3 with an ABF for a conversion, however it won't start. It's getting fuel through the rail, turns over but won't fire. I'd a similar problem on an 8v and it was the earth strap from the coil that had broken, however I noticed there isn't one on the ABF. Should there be? Hoping it's simple before we start looking at spark and immobiliser problems.
  3. Dubshed 2015 - photos

Great photos and brilliant standard of cars!
  4. Dubshed prep how's it going!!?

I know the feeling. New rear bumper to fit, only to find it's been damaged in transit:( It's never going to be perfect but I was hoping for better!
  5. My cabriolet had black sun visors and interior light.Maybe easier to look towards that way.
  6. Help with age related number plate

Quite interested to hear how this pans out, I'm not too fussy about my B reg on the mk2 but its original as is car, so don't know what to do!
  7. Oil Leak From Here But What Is It

    What car and engine? 1.8t?
  8. I run the Bridgestone Re 050's on the Octavia vRS, not bad in the wet but completely different in the dry - you can't unstick them! Very solid sidewall on them (215/45 17) though, can feel a bit jiggly through the wheel on poor surfaces.
  9. 1984 Golf 1.3 C

There's a terrible temptation to drop in a 1.4 16v on carbs, but then it's suspension, brakes, wheels.... Then where does it stop?!
  10. 1984 Golf 1.3 C

I'm going to keep it C spec, really would like a good 7 slat grille and drivers seat in the same material. I've become addicted to hunting down early/type 19 parts, but they are hard to come by and quite dear. Will early base ones become sought after?
  11. 1984 Golf 1.3 C

    That was probably it!
  12. 1984 Golf 1.3 C

First of all, I've been on here for years but rarely post, however I've decided to change that! I've been after another mk2 for quite a while now and when this came up I thought it would be rude not go and have a look. It's a nice early 1.3 C, 3 door, the most basic car I've ever driven and probably one that gets the most looks. Mostly original, 85k, waxoyled from new so rust free and runs the very best. I think I'm going to return it to it's full glory over the next wee while and for once I think it'd be a sin to change it from how it sits now. Anyway, some pics!

  14. would these clear the front calibers?

They fit over my 288mm 5 stud mk3 brakes if that helps, so I'd say so. However you'd need big profile tyres - prob 195/65's
  15. anyone know wot age?

Yeah, my driver was uxi 3181 and was 91.
