    ? you can fit 15's with the standard suspension , as long as they are et35 -38 , but if its lowered forget it . The best in my opinion is 13/14" tyre size 165 is as wide as you want to go , as they will rub the rear arches if you go bigger . my mk2 set up is as follows 60/40 lowered , standard 13" steels with 155/70 tyre's . you can go lower but the ride is terrible, some people cut the arches out and fit mk1 golf ones , but that's a lot of work hope this helps

    I had a 1990 Renault 5GT Turbo in 92 , insane thing , had a bigger turbo and spec , was very quick when the clutch was not slipping

    It passed its mot on Saturday , lovely wee car , great to see it back on the road , up for sale I believe as oli has a corrado fetish to sort out
  13. Went to harry smith in the end , he replaced all the bearings , and fitted a new 4th gear cog which was the reason the box was noisy , the cost was£250 , all back together now and going well , abit different from the £1391 the dealer wanted for a gearbox
