  1. Super Beetle

    That colour!
  2. Mk1 TT 225 cluster/speedo problem

Ideally I'd like to get it done locally so I don't have to leave the car in bits while waiting for the cluster back! Anywhere over here I could contact?
  3. Mk1 TT 225 cluster/speedo problem

  4. Mk1 TT 225 cluster/speedo problem

Yep everything else is working as it should
  5. I bought a mk1 TT a few weeks ago and it has a slight problem where the cluster doesn't display the speed. Everything else in the cluster functions however and the MPG/average speed etc read out functions fine. Also the AC control trick to display the speed in KPH works but its hassle enabling it every time. I'm assuming that its the cluster which is broken rather than the speedodrive from the gear box. Will I need to replace the entire cluster or is there any work arounds to save me £150? Cheers
  6. In Carrickfergus if that helps at all?
  7. My dads car doesnt have this fitted and he's mentioned missing it so for his birthday I was going to get it done for him. If I supply the cruise stalk, how much would I be looking to get it enabled and fitted? Non-agnew specialists are preferred to save some pennies
  8. Running a MK2 GTI as a daily

I'm sure a few of you guys do it, so I'd like to pick your brains! I'm thinking about changing the 328 for a mk2 gti but it'll be a DD so I'm wondering: What sort of fuel economy you would get? How reliable are they? (start first time, even in the winter?) Is it so bare bones inside that it takes away from the comfort of driving? How many miles would you expect to get on an engine before it goes pop? I can't think of anything else right now so I might add to that later but any input would be greatly appreciated
  9. Not a dub but sure!

Eventful few weeks there, got the car back from the garda with thankfully no damage (as it was seized because I wasn't carrying my insurance certificate.. what a joke!), took the laminx off the dipped lights, destickered, got my personal plate on and dropped it on its hoop! Forgive me for my photo whoring, I need an excuse to have an expensive camera lol C&C welcomed as always, next on the list is a wheel refurb (or a wheel change), new BBS center caps and an M3 lip
  10. 1990 Mk2 VW Golf 1.8 GL Auto

You trying to drive it into the garage without a seat was a good laugh haha!
  11. B5.5 Passat (Stance Reworked)

    Awesome new wheels
  12. Not a dub but sure!

Cheers folks, defiantly drinks it if you put your foot down. I've been looking at coilovers - anyone have any experience of XYZ? Would they be worth spending £700 on rather than £185 FK's for lows?
  13. Not a dub but sure!

Well after speaking to Si last night (a pleasure to meet you btw!) I thought I would throw up some pics of my new whip! It's a 1997 e36 328i sport and it is raping my wallet driving it to work and back, worth it though Thanks for looking
  14. 1986 Camper at Wilsons Auction last night

Told ya we should have bought it AJ! Wonder would she have diffed... haha
  15. Do you fill up or do you spend the same amount?

When I was driving the Integra I would fill it to the neck but that was mostly because it took atleast a full tank a week! The 306 shed gets £40 a go. I think my thought process behind it is to only fill up what I'll need for the week - means less pointless driving and saves money! Just realised how stingy that sounds...
