  1. Split Wheel Problems

So I finally changed up the car and got a A6 C6 Avant, brilliant boat. I bought a set of 19 inch Speedline Rims for it with the intentions of splitting and refurbing. Stripped the tyres today and began trying to split the rims this evening.  On the first wheel I got all the nuts out apart from two which I completely rounded and the centres seemed to be seized to the barrel. Anybody any suggestions on removing the two remaining rounded nuts and in general how to split a wheel easier? These clearly have never been split from manufacturing and are currently steeping in wd40 over night. Pain is an understatement!

I have never taken mine apart for this reason and even my local alloy refurbisher was reluctant to split them for me. Having said that there is always a way. With the rounded nuts you could try bolt extractor sockets if you can get a lend of some, a few light taps with a hammer always helps. However, there are plenty of guys on here who have done it for real so should be able to give some proper advice!
