  1. Good tip - I need a wee repair myself and will check them out.
  2. I did read that they just use crew members to pose as punters if the car hasn't sold in time. Maybe it did go for £5.5k, but it may not have.
  3. 'old aht yer 'and, you've just bought yerself a Corrado Good work all round I thought - I could do with an Edd on demand myself. The sunroof on the other half's Mini is goosed and Bavarian want £1100 to fix it!
  4. Mk2 Refurb

My recently resprayed Mk2, with front seats re-trimmed in leather to match diagonal stripe cloth.
  5. Help with age related number plate

Just had a look on Used Cars NI - there's a Sept 84 Mini on TIJ in the nine thousands which would suggest UIJ or VIJ would be age appropriate - if you're buying a plate UIJ will be cheaper as VIJ is quite a common Asian surname and lots have been bought as personal plates. HTH
  6. Help with age related number plate

From memory of family cars CUI is 85 for the L'derry city and GIW the county or Coleraine office.
  7. Anyone on here work for Belfast Audi?

It also depends on how much trust you put in Belfast Audi's health check. . .
  8. After several years of idle speeds that were all over the place I finally bit a pretty big bullet and forked out £250 for a new valve for my MK2 8v. Worth every penny. I'd had the old one off for cleaning so many times that it took about 5 minutes to replace and may just be the best thing I've done in the 8 years plus I've owned the car.
  9. 89 Small Bumper Mk2 GTI 8v

Excellent thread - keep up the good work!
  10. Syncro T25 getting there

Great van! There can't be many of these around.
  11. Mk2 GTI 8V-VR6 turbo build

Nice to see such a good job being done on a black MK2.
  12. offensive stickers-legal?

They must be brave to have that on their cars in SA. The police there made the PSNI look like litter wardens! My view would be don't poke the bear.
  13. Trimmers in Northern Ireland??

Plus one on the query for someone in the NW. Looking headlining and driver's seat retrimming done this spring.
  14. Headliner retrimming

I'm looking a headliner done in a Mk2 8v Golf - how do I go about getting it to you for the work to be done?
  15. What have you done to your car today?

Window scrapers a big success - it poured down last night and the carpets were bone dry this morning. Woo hoo! Have had a new metal coolant pipe delivered - bodge job with rubber patch and hose clip has lasted 3 years, so I thought I'd fix it before it blows. Once the long evenings start it's much easier to get a few jobs done.
