  1. GTINI Nights Meet 08/11/17

    Only seeing this now d'oh!!!
  2. Belfast reg number

Plates aren't worth a huge amount now, DVLA sell nice 3digit 1999ish on N.I reg's for £399 inc transfer. Are the digits random or in a pattern like 1212 or 5152 or the like? If it gets a southern reg and then comes back into the north the CXI plate will go back on it, but if this is like a reg going back onto a car after a private plate has been on it then it means that that reg has to stay on that car it's non transferable. Another option would be to put it on retention. I always think cars look nicer with an N.I plate than an English one and I'm sure someone would maybe want this, but it would be a shame if it came back up north that the plate wouldn't then be available for it.
  3. Bullit

  4. Photobucket

Just got an email from them looking $399 a year to give 3rd party viewing access, ie making pics visible on the likes of this forum. I've checked and my pics no longer visible on here just getting the below pic. Anyone else experiencing this? I wouldn't mind paying something but that's excessive!
  5. Another Mk1 vRS Octavia

Can't beat a red Octy! Mint dude, looks almost as nice as mine BTW the spoiler may respond to being cut and polished (mine did) although the rest of the paintwork won't.
  6. Jetta lock problem

Happy days you got sorted, just re read it there, d'oh I'd misread first time, I thought it was drivers door that was locked!
  7. Jetta lock problem

If you disconnect the battery will it allow you to open it manually with the key in lock? Then once door open remove the door panel and disconnect the module so that the button only operates of the key and not the central locking???? Just a thought, not sure if this would work.
  8. RELOAD Retro Apparel

Best of luck with it dude! MK1 scirocco design is quality. No Octavias??
  9. What have you done to your car today?

Exactly, it'd be a boring place if everyone did and liked all the same things.
  10. What have you done to your car today?

That's a lovely looking Golf dude, hard to beatshiny red
  11. What have you done to your car today?

Almost a year I can see from my last post here since I've done anything more than start this! started and moved it today, pumped up the tyres and gave it a quick wash, even gave the passenger side it's annual viewing lol
  12. Wheel refurb! Best place?

Excellent, Polished alloys do them in the end?
  13. DISTRICTS SHOW - 1 & 2nd July 2017

Sounds cool, and practically on my doorstep! Do they have a heap of dung category and I could tow Polo down
  14. "old" petrol and diesel cars

Hopefully just a lot of scare mongering, I'd heard them refer to anything pre 07 / 08 as old. I've never owned a car younger than 10yr old. I remember rumours when new mot started 15years ago or so that it was to get classics of the road, in truth it probably got knackered old cars of the road which is a good thing. Hopefully same with this and tidier old stuff won't be affected if goes by individual car emissions, nothing worse than driving up road behind some reaky ole thing!
  15. It's in the lower carpark again this year not the marina/campsite where it was traditionally. Future events
  16. Some lovely stuff as usual, even had a special section for mars red dubs Still haven't got a new camera so just a few phone pics
  17. Wheel refurb! Best place?

Yeah, did my scala wheel and a few sets for mates. I'd them on the car 4years before sold it, and it lived outside. Wheels still in great shape.Great value for money dude. His polishing is as good as anywhere else I've seen.
  18. Lisburn Show Few Pics

This wee show is on again next Sunday. Well worth a nosey!
  19. Need to upsize the family bus as a C class just too small for 3 car seats and a pram! Not going people carrier but think having the option of 7seats makes sense so having a sniff around at stuff. Thinking jeep, 7 seats, diesel, automatic, around 7-10 yr old and something with tax that isn't £500 a year! I like the idea of the Volvo XC90 but don't know much about them. The only other yoke I've spied was a Vauxhall Antara/Chevy Captiva which seem to be better spec and newer for similar £ to the XC90. Not going to be changing for a couple of months, but like to get a clear idea of what I'm after. Anyone have any experience with any of the above or suggest any other options?
  20. SUVs ( Volvo / Chevy)

Yeah 163bhp, not going to win any races but goes the best, the semi auto is great for steep hills and overtaking.
  21. SUVs ( Volvo / Chevy)

You ever go for an XC90 dude? Just mot'd ours there, just needed a couple of tyres, they would have passed ok but I wanted decent rubber on it. Size is superb as are the seats and layout. Have had a few trips up to N.Antrim in it and according to the computer getting 40-44mpg average on a decent run. I don't check about town lol
  22. SUVs ( Volvo / Chevy)

Got this sorted, just popped the V5 in post to dvla with a letter that I wanted an N.I reg and a week later new v5 with N.I plate dropped through the door. No fee or hassle, just shame you can't choose what county reg anymore.
  23. Mk1 Jetta

Mark Mc Cann up near Toomebridge might still have mk1 bits, I know he did have jetta bits a while back.
  24. Wheels refurb expected price?

Nu Luk Carrick do a great job, I'd be gauging on £80+ a rim Polished Wheels in Dundonald did my scala rims, very easy paid and great job polishing. They were painted with a polished face. I'll Pm you contact details, call up with him and check some rims he's done. Powdercoaters in Kilwee In Estate Dunmurry, did a set of 15" Beetle steels for me a few years ago that were chromed so needed a lot of blasting, charged me £30 a wheel.
