Hi folks, Can anyone recommend a company/person for some graphics? Father-in-law is looking some for his van for his business. Likely to be the logo on both sides and some numbers etc for the rear. Handy to Carrickfergus or Belfast areas and nothing mega fancy/expensive. Thanks Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. Hi folks, Have a lovely stain on my driveway where I'm assuming oil is leaking from the front end of my car. It's a 2003 Passat tdi. Bit of a could be anywhere leak I'm sure, but any ideas at all where a few main places to check could be. It's not awful but slowly drips down. Stain ??: Seems to be where the drip runs off from: Top view: Cheers Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

  11. Help with a leak on Passat

  12. Hi folks, My sister in law is getting 2 vw splitcreen busses for her wedding this week. As they only have lap belts in the rear how would you carry a child, 6 years old who is normally in a high back booster with 3 point belt. My understanding is a child seat isn't suitable for a lap belt whether it is high back or just the booster. Also is it now law that kids are exempt from using their seat as it's a private hire vehicle so they then must use the adult belt, the lap belt on its own? Sorry if it's not clear but I'm probably going to cause a whole whoha if I say she's not allowed to go in it! Thanks Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. Could anyone offer advice on these faults showing. Its a B5.5 Passat 1.9tdi 130 AVF 6speed. I'm not that technical so plain and simple is appreciated for issue and/or fix. I did have a dead battery a few months back and changed it. Someone mentioned the abs fault is an easy recode with vcds. Thanks Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. Some fault code help

  15. Some fault code help

Yeah using vcds lite. If I hit clear results and rescan they come back. Do I need to use clear all dtcs, but it's greyed out and can't click it Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. I like tapatalk as you can have everything in one place. Not just car forums but I have quite a few other forums on tapatalk. Also the user interface is very good. The mobile site here is brilliant and I never have photo issues, but tapatalk would be a welcome addition too
  17. Hi folks, I have a 03 Passat 130 sport, 6 speed box. There's a noise/grind when it's in most gears. It's whenever you're in gear and let the clutch fully out. It's not hard to get into gear and the noise isn't there with the clutch in or if it's out of gear, purely when you're in gear driving along. Can I assume the gearbox could be on the way out and if so would anyone recommend a rebuild over a new box or vice versa . Sorry but don't have the gearbox code. Thanks
  18. Gearbox going? Passat B5.5

Just a quick one again. Is this a standard/easy enough thing for mechanic to do? Just wondering should I be after recommendations for someone handy to Carrick / Larne?
  19. Gearbox going? Passat B5.5

Thanks for the comments, will hopefully get it in for a check soon but I imagine it'll be the box. Will make sure I mention what you've said
  20. Gt2 rocco wheel alignment

  21. Hi folks, Picked up a b5.5 estate a few days ago and noticed the 6 disc changer wasn't working. Turns out the leads weren't connected properly, but on checking it appears to have had a sort of wiring job at some point. It also appears to have an aux input attenpt so that could explain it. Anyway, the changer now powers on, loads discs, appears to play ok but there's no sound. I've attached a few pics if anyone would have any idea what the issue could be or what all the wires are / what has been attempted. Thanks The aux attempt I assume: Don't know what this is, seems to go behind glovebox: This is hooked up to rear of changer: Again don't know what this is, comes from behind glove box area:
  22. Trailer piece broken?

Hi folks, Picked up a small garden trailer from a friend and both sides have 2 bracket type pieces which appear broken, don't know what would've been here or on it, any ideas?
  23. Trailer piece broken?

  24. Climbing Frame install advice

Hi folks, Picked up a wooden climbing frame for the mini me's and looking some advice on the install. I had planned on digging out holes for the main posts and cementing them but a friend mentioned another way. He said as it's so heavy just cement a small hole and put a large bolt with nut and small metal plate on the bottom of each leg. Then set it on the cement. The nut can be adjusted to level it and it won't rot. Also easily taken down. Sounds ok but my first question was about it falling down! He said with its weight it wont budge unless I decide to take a wrecking ball to it. Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
  25. Climbing Frame install advice

Cheers oldskool, I do like the idea and easy to level etc......but I nust can't bring myself to do it! Googled a few bits about them and the manufacturer recommendations. Can't get my head to do it, with the kids on it I'm going to cement it in for peace of mind!
